PREDICTABILITY…
So was talking with my sister today and we were discussing life and things that we tolerate. So often we put up with things because we are used to it and not just talking jobs, but relationships and friendships and so on. It’s funny when I think of security for me I think my family always being okay and knowing that I can always provide for them. Honestly my security comes in believing in God, but I think a lot of people’s definition of security is PREDICTABILITY. So often we want to know what is going to happen. We stay in the same patterns because we know what to expect. A lot of us say we want success yet what do we do? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. We complain about our current state instead of taking steps to change our current situation. There’s a safety in predictability we find comfort in knowing what’s next. Somehow that gives us a sense of control and we all know we love control. You can’t tell me that you don’t love to be in control of certain things in your life because I know that you do. If you have never read Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki you need to go get that book now. Funny as I write this too you I’m laying in my bed topless watching Tyler Perry play ‘Why Did I Get Married?‘ Life is so funny there’s such a major fear in the unknown. We want better and a lot of us yearn for it but we rather stick with our daily routine that’s same thing every day. Why is that? Predictability is a weakness it is your kryptonite. It will DESTROY you. You will never succeed or reach your full potential by living in predictability. Do you know how much you could accomplish outside of predictability? There’s a whole WORLD out there?!
You never know what tomorrow holds. We get stuck in rut and get complacent. What are we really doing? If you are not growing you are dying. Do you realize everyday when you’re going to work come home eat and do it all again doesn’t that feel just tedious to you? I mean we need employees and if you are happy with that life, I am not talking to you. I am talk to the person who yearns for more. Who just wants more out of life, the person who feels like something is missing but you don’t know what exactly it is. People often make an excuse and put something off till later with the “I’ll get to it tomorrow” or “I’ll get to it later” but they never do. Ever wonder why that is? We take comfort in knowing that tomorrow we have a schedule and that’s our safety blanket. What if you lost your job tomorrow what would you do? Do you have the comfort of knowing that all your bills will be paid? Do you have talents that you could rely on that you could turn into income?
There is nothing wrong with having a job that’s how most of us start off but if you could live you dreams what would you do? If you didn’t have to pay your bills what would you be doing with your free time? Spending time with your kids? Traveling around the world? Motivating others? Living your dreams? WHAT WOULD YOU DO? I mean what would you REALLY do?!
Isn’t it time to do it? Or are you forever going to wait for that ‘right moment’ that never came?
Choice is YOURS and no one else’s. What will it be?
